New & Used Golf Carts for Sale, Financing, Parts & Service — From Golf Carts of Indy
Bargersville has one of the friendliest golf cart permits in the area — $30, handled through the police department, and you’re done. For a town that’s growing as fast as this one, with new neighborhoods going in and a downtown that’s genuinely worth driving to, a cart makes a lot of sense.
Golf Carts of Indy is an authorized dealer for Bintelli, Denago EV, Epic, and Active EV, and we’re just down the road in Columbus. We sell new and pre-owned carts, we handle the parts and service afterward, and we’ll tell you exactly what Bargersville requires. Call (317) 619-1796.
Bintelli is the brand most Bargersville buyers land on when they want something that looks sharp and arrives ready for the street. Well-built, well-equipped, easy to own.
Denago EV brings serious range and a smooth ride. If your neighborhood is on the newer, more spread-out side of town, the extra range is worth having.
Epic is comfortable and quiet with a fair price. A sensible family cart for everyday use.
Active EV is dependable and affordable — a strong option if this is your first cart and you want to keep the outlay reasonable.
Not sure? Tell us who’s riding and where you’re going. We’ll narrow it down.
Bintelli, Denago EV, Epic, and Active EV. Manufacturer warranty on new carts, inspection on every used one.
We’re in Columbus — a short drive down State Road 135 or I-65. Not a faceless online seller three states away.
Proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license, and a $30 fee. We’ll make sure your cart is ready before you go in.
4-passenger, 6-passenger, forward-facing. New and pre-owned.
Manageable payments. Ask about pre-qualifying.
Batteries, chargers, accessories, repairs. We’re around after the sale.
Lift kits, wheels, seats, custom colors, audio — just ask.
Bargersville’s process is refreshingly simple compared to some of its neighbors.
Permits are handled through the Bargersville Police Department. To get one, you need:
That’s the core of it. The town’s current rules come from Ordinance 2022-20, which amended the original 2009 golf cart ordinance. The town publishes both the registration form and the ordinance on its website, and it’s worth reading the ordinance itself before you drive.
The one rule everybody needs to hear:
Motorized vehicles are prohibited from driving on any paved trails in Bargersville.
That includes golf carts. The trails are for walking and biking. Plenty of new owners assume a permit means trail access — it doesn’t, and the town is explicit about it.
Also worth knowing: if you drive outside the town limits into unincorporated Johnson County, you’re under a different ordinance entirely — the county’s, administered by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, with its own separate registration. A Bargersville permit does not cover you on county roads outside town, and county registration doesn’t cover you inside Bargersville. If you’ll cross the line, check whether you need both.
Or go the LSV route. A Low-Speed Vehicle is titled, registered, plated, and insured through the Indiana BMV, and state law allows it on public roads posted at 35 mph or less anywhere in Indiana. If you want to travel further afield than the town permit allows, ask us about it.
Ordinances and fees change. Confirm current requirements with the Town of Bargersville and the Bargersville Police Department before driving on public streets.
We’ll ask the right questions first — passengers, terrain, whether you want to drive it on the street — then recommend.
Financing available to spread the cost. Ask about pre-qualifying.
Batteries, chargers, lights, mirrors, seats, wheels, lift kits, enclosures. Send a parts request if you need something specific.
Maintenance, battery checks, tune-ups, repairs. Keep the cart dependable season after season.
Colors, seating, wheels, lighting, sound. Make it yours.

Bargersville is growing fast, and a lot of that growth is exactly the kind of place a golf cart belongs — newer subdivisions, wide quiet streets, families who’d rather take the cart than get everyone into the car for a five-minute trip.
The downtown is small and getting better, and being able to drive in, park, and walk around is part of the appeal. Evening rides through the neighborhood are the thing most owners tell us they actually use it for. And out past the edges of town, where the lots get bigger, a utility-ready cart takes care of the hauling that a car can’t touch.
The permit is cheap and the process is quick. Just remember the trails are off-limits, and you’ll get on fine.

No. Motorized vehicles, golf carts included, are prohibited on all paved trails in Bargersville.
Unincorporated Johnson County is governed by a separate county ordinance with its own registration through the Sheriff’s Office. A Bargersville permit doesn’t cover you out there. If you’ll be driving in both, check whether you need to register twice.
A golf cart is permitted locally by Bargersville for use on town streets. An LSV is titled and registered with the Indiana BMV and can be driven on roads posted at 35 mph or less statewide. Ask us which one suits how you’ll drive.
